About me

Writing clean code and a love for component driven HTML5 and CSS3 gets me going. I graduated as a visual designer, but I decided that pushing pixels by code is way more exciting than Photoshop. With my background in design, I navigate perfectly between the developers and the designers.

Languages, frameworks and workflows I am familiar with:

  • HTML5, CSS3, SCSS
  • JavaScript (ES5, ES6)
  • Vue.js (currently learning)
  • BEM, Namespacing
  • CI/CD
  • Atomic Design by Brad Frost, Bootstrap
  • Gulp, Grunt, Webpack, NPM
  • Nunjucks, Mustache
  • Git, Bitbucket
  • Umbraco CMS (C# with Razor)
  • Accessibility

Software and tools:

  • Sourcetree, Git Kraken, Terminal, command line
  • Visual Studio Code, Atom, Sublime,
  • Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, InVision
  • Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics
  • JIRA, Confluence
  • Slack, MS Teams
  • Browserstack

I spend my spare time hiking in the Dutch woods, doing yoga and reading. Not just non-fiction, I love books on spirituality, (neuro) psychology and personal development. I am a certified NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Master Practitioner. My favourite music is Britpop (think Oasis, The Verve and Kasabian) and ‘60’s/’70’s.
